Junior Drum Corps
Junior drum corps, as mainly a youth activity, requires that members be 22 years of age or younger. After "aging-out", many performers become members of senior drum corps.
Most junior drum corps are members of Drum Corps International and competed in DCI Division I, DCI Division II, or DCI Division III. In the past, these corps classifictions were Open Class, A-Class, A-60 Class and All-Girl, respectfully. In Canada, there were the added classification of B-Class and Parade corps.
Past and Current Regionals Organization
At one time there there were regional organizations that ran independently and parallel to Drum Corps International. Corps from these regions, for the most part, marched the first half of the season in their respective regions. They then competed in a regional championship.
