Stetson D. Richmond of Boonton, New Jersey (May 23, 1907 - April, 1973) did more to preserve classic drum and bugle corps performances of the mid-Twentieth Century than anyone. He tape-recorded each corps at every contest he attended (including many obscure and short-lived corps that otherwise might never have been heard again), and customers could order custom-recorded tapes or hand-cut acetate discs at any speed specified from a lengthy list of available corps, categorized by date and/or specific competition.
