The Argonne Rebels were a Junior Drum Corps based in Great Bend, Kansas.

History

American Legion champs in 1971, 1972, and 1973. Charter member of DCI. Ranked 5th at DCI in 1972.

Formed in Great Bend, Kansas, in 1947. Achieved fame in the late 60's and early 70's under the direction of Glenn Opie and Sandra Opie. One of the remarkable things about this corps is that it came from a small Kansas town of approximately 17,000 people – but could hold it's own against corps from large metropolitan areas.

Traditions

"Our Corps" (To the tune of Shenandoah) Words by Mitch Markovitch

This is our Corps, The Argonne Rebels
Proud are we to bear her name
We dedicate ourselves to Argonne
We're bound, We're bound with pride
To be as one, together.

The road we take will not be easy
but we pledge to bear the load
Our goal is clear we will not falter
March on to victory
This is our Corps forever.
