Musical instrument manufacturer based in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. Getzen produced many bugles in multiple voices through the 1950s and 1960s in two main brand names: Getzen and Elkhorn (the latter a budget-priced line of bugles). Getzen was noted for experimentation and innovation, and also occasionally offered exotic bugles such as the herald bugles, the valveless slide bugles, the concert french horn, and the piccolo soprano, which is pitched an octave above the standard soprano and tenor bugles.
