Xylophone
From DrumCorpsWiki
An Xylophone is a melodic percussive instrument, usually constructed of wood sounding pieces on a metal frame.
[edit] Use in Drum Corps
Until rule changes made approximately in 1982 all xylophones had to be carried by marching members using a sling and brace. After this time the instrument appeared in the pit usually in a much larger form.
