[edit] History
Trinity was founded in 2002 to help build awareness for drum and bugle corps in the state of Texas as well as looking to further the landscape for independent youth music education organizations. Ray Holland helped to establish the corps and was hoping to build a solid corps organization in the same manner as The Revolution Drum and Bugle Corps
In 2005, Trinity put its first corps on the field. This was strictly an exhibition season. The show was entitled "Ghost Train - The Music of Eric Whitacre". The corps first performed at the annual Texas Drum Corps Preview. This was followed with a parade in Seguin, an exhibition performance in Wichita Falls, and a standstill in San Antonio.
In 2006, it was decided that the corps would attempt to compete in DCI's Division III. The staff was signifigantly expanded, as well as the tour and expectations. After the winter camps, the corps turned out 13 members in the horn line and a percussion section of 7. This would be Trinity's first year of competition.
For this, the staff created a show entitled "Espectaculo", a four movement work based on old Mexican folklore. The corps performed in Austin, Midland, and Houston, scoring as high as 42.000.
The original plan was for a full DCI tour, but unexpected problems forced the corps to go inactive after the Houston performance. On the Trinity website, Executive Director Ray Holland explained that the corps was working with DCI Administrative Staff to restructure the corps' financial base. Since that initial announcement, there has been no further news on this and it is assumed that Trinity is permanently inactive.
