[edit] Notes
The Cadets held their spring training at West Virginia Wesleyan College in Buckhannon, WV, using dormitories to house members and staff.
In the 2007 Quarterfinals, the corps took the field only to quickly retreat after director George Hopkins demanded the lines on the field to be repainted. The complaint was that the hashmarks were not visible. The protocol for quarterfinals this night was to have the lines repainted after every 4 corps performances. However, in this case it had been reported that the field had not been repainted after 11 corps.
This resulted in a 2.0 point penalty. After discussion with DCI executive director Dan Acheson, show coordinator Tony DiCarlo and George Hopkins, it was agreed that protocol had not been followed and that neither the Cadets, nor its director had done anything wrong. It was mutually agreed that the conditions were potentially unsafe for marching members.
The penalty was rescinded followed by an apology from Dan Acheson.
