They lost to the Cadets by 0.3 points on August 7, 1993 at the DCI Drums Along the Rockies in Denver, CO, by 0.4 points on August 11, 1993 at the DCI Summer Music Games Tour in Texarkana, AR. Star beat the Cadets by 0.4 points at the DCI World Championship Quarterfinals and subsequently lost to the Cadets by 0.3 points in the Semifinals and by 0.1 in the finals. In total Star won 30 shows in 1993 (including 1 tie with the Cadets) and lost only 4 times (all second place and to the Cadets).
