The Chattahoochie Sound Association Drum and Bugle corps was a D.C.I. class A-60 drum and bugle corps from Decatur, {Georgia]].

History

The Chattahoochee Sound Association Drum and Bugle Corps finished in 18th place in DCI A- 60 in 1980. CSA was founded by World Drum Corps Hall of famer and popular soloist, instructor and arranger Thomas F. McAndrew. The Chattahoochee Sound Association played at the N.A.M.M. show in 1980, and was once sponsored by Diet Pepsi tm.


Chattahoochee Sound Association was re-started under the direction of Kevin Smith in the fall of 1981, but they never competed again in D.C.I.

Notable C.S.A. instructors included Randy Wickstrom of the Spirit of Atlanta, and Russell Staton of S.O.A., S.C.V. and Suncoast Sound.

Members of C.S.A. went on to march in many top 12 D.C.I. drum and bugle corps including the Spirit of Atlanta, North Star, Santa Clara Vanguard, the Boston Crusaders and the Blue Devils.
