We merged in 1973. I was a member of the Kankakee Blackhawks. We were announced by both names; sometimes by a variety of combinations of the two names untill the next season (74) then The White Tornadoes name was dropped. Most of us were from the original Blackhawks. Unfortunately we lost funding at the end of 74 and the corps was disbanded. We were devasted. We were such a tight bunch of kids. I know the pain of the loss has affected some to this day.

Now I march with the New York Skyliners. We won The Cass A world Championship in 2002. This year will be a great year for us/2007. I plan to be returning to Kankakee in the very near future in order to reform the Blackhawks.
