St. Rita's Brassmen

The St. Rita's Brassmen are an inactive junior drum corps based originally in Brooklyn, New York, and later on Long Island.

- The corps was founded in 1962 as the St. Joseph’s Patron Cadets.
- This corps was disbanded by the new pastor of St. Joseph Patron church despite a winning history, in 1968.
- In 1969 the corps at St. Rita’s Church under the name of St. Rita's Brassmen.
- In 1972 the corps was incorporated as an independent organization.
- The corps chose not to join the then new Drum Corps International circuit in 1974 and became inactive in that year.
- In 2006 the Brassmen Alumni Drum and Bugle Corps made its debut at "Music Under the Bridge" in Brooklyn.
