Richard Cardinal Cushing

(1895-1970) Administrator of the Archdiocese of Boston, Massachusetts. Cardinal Cushing was instrumental in the formation of dozens of Boston-area drum and bugle corps through his active and vocal support of diocesan CYO (Catholic Youth Organization) functions including competitions, as well as band, chorus and drill team activities.
