- Corps formed in 1971.
- Was first Southern Corps to make DCI finals. DCI finals was only 18th show performed by the Bleu Raeders. This became a long standing record as the quickest rise to finals.
- Merge with Stardusters, Arabi, Louisiana 1974.
- Split with Stardusters, Arabi, Louisiana & reestablished Bleu Raeders name 1975.
- Merged second time with Stardusters, Arabi, Louisiana 1981 to become Louisiana Southernaires (name taken from a New Orleans corps from the 50's).
The "Bleu Raeders cadence" of 1972 is still played today (and under that name) by L.S.U. and Ole Miss and countless high schools in the Louisiana and Mississippi region. This cadence was written by Ricky and Ronnie Chapagral and Richard Flagg with the melodic parts written by David Arthur. The Bleu Raeders have re emerged along with the Stardusters, Southern Rebels, Southernaires, and Masqueraeders as the Echos Alumni Drum and Bugle Corps in Metairie, Louisiana.
