[edit] History

The Peacock Military Academy was originally a school for boys based out of San Antonio, Texas, established at the end of the 19th Century. It later developed into a full-fledged military school. Initially, the school offered instrumental lessons and had a school orchestra. By 1908, A drum and bugle corps had been established, coinciding with the school's change into a more militaristic facility.

Through the 1920's and 1930's the corps made regular trips to the State Fair of Texas, both to perform and compete against other drum and bugle corps throughout the state. The corps ended when the school closed in 1973.
