Pacific Crest

Pacific Crest is a drum corps based out of Diamond Bar, California. Pacific Crest and an Indoor Color Guard are sponsored by the Pacific Crest Youth Arts Organization. The corps is a member of Drum Corps International and competes in DCI World Class. The corps is directed by Stuart Pompel.

Pacific Crest Drum and Bugle Corps was founded in 1993. Pacific Crest (also known as "PC") has been known for allowing its members to have free time to work jobs and attend summer school during its seasons. Despite lesser rehearsal hours than most corps, Pacific Crest has stayed competitive among full touring corps due to highly efficient rehearsals and a strong work ethic among its members and staff.

2000 was the first year Pacific Crest toured outside California. The corps flew to Texas after the California State Open Championships and attended the DCI San Antonio Regional. PC ended their last season as Division II competitors by beating the Division I Troopers with a 7th place finish.

In 2001, the corps achieved Regional DCI Division I status. In their tenth season, Pacific Crest attended their first DCI World Championships in 2003. Despite not competing in a show for at least 2 weeks, PC qualified for semifinals at championships after placing 17th at quarterfinals, beating out Mandarins, Capital Regiment, Southwind, and Troopers.

The mission of Pacific Crest is to provide artistic performance opportunities for young people that help them develop into well-rounded and responsible citizens.
