Open Class - DCI (1972)

From the inception of Drum Corps International in 1972 until it was renamed Division I in 1991, the top tier of competition in DCI was known as Open Class.
In 2007 DCI announced that the two tiers in competition formerly known as Division II and Division III would be combined and be known as DCI Open Class.[1]
