[edit] History
The corps was founded in 1993, first competing in 1994, following it's original; incarnation as the 21st Leeds Boys Brigade Band. The staff at the time needed that the had come top move to an independent status and the corps was born. Competing in the Novice class of BYBA for it's first year out the corps quickly moved through the divisons until finally reaching the Premier class (now division 1) where they became the middle man of the division, placing around 4th or 5th for a few years whilst gaining a reputation for not being afraid of trying new and innovative ideas.
In 2001 the corps pulled out of competition for the first time since it's foundation, due to a lack of members and concentrated on building a core of members based on recruitment in the local area. That saw the corps return to competition in 2002 with the biggest corps it had had to date and, with the exception of a controversial result at the National Championships, the corps were undefeated.
2003 saw the corps makes it's first venture into European competition, where, along with Kidsgrove Scouts, they were the first corps for quite some time to compete in Drum Corps Europe, competing in the A-Class, which they won emphatically, gaining a spot in the evening Open Class Finals, where they came third. That season saw the start of a great relationship between the corps and European Drum Corps fans with the corps quickly becoming one of the most popular corps on the circuit. 2 runners up positions in 2005 and 2006 have so far been the pinnacle in European.

The director speaks to them about the jouorney they are on and the corps are then ready for the field. All members recognise this as a truly special moment in their time at the Corps.
