Muchachos, Hawthorne, DCI disqualification, 1975
From DrumCorpsWiki
In 1975 the Muchachos were considered strong contenders for the fourth Drum Corps International championship. After completing their preliminary performance at the championships in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the corps was notified by DCI officials, including executive director Don Pesceone, of their disqualification for fielding an over-aged member in their drum line. The corps’ score sheets for their prelims performance were collected from the judges after the corps performed and were never tabulated.[1]
