On July 9, 2005, the LakeShoremen Drum & Bugle Corps gave the first field performance in the history of the corps at the Drum Corps Midwest Championships in DeKalb, Illinois. As explained by Bob "Kemo" London, a member of the trumpet line, "In every organization there is a turning point when the group goes from wanting to be something to actually BECOMING what it wanted to be.
