Illinois Drum Corps Association

The Illinois Drum Corps Association existed during the 1960s and early 1970s. Consisting primarily of drum corps from Illinois, it also included the major corps of Wisconsin. Among the association members were:

• The Belleville Black Knights
• The Blue Stars (Wisconsin)
• The Des Plaines Vanguard
• The Kewanne Black Knights
• The Madison Scouts (Wisconsin)
• The Milstadt Crusaders
• The Racine Kilties (Wisconsin)
• The Racine Scouts (Wisconsin)
• The Nisei Ambassadors
• The Norwood Park Imperials
• Phantom Regiment
• The Royal Airs
• The Spectacle City Mariners (Wisconsin)
• The Troopers (Wyoming)

The advent of Drum Corps International (DCI) made the Illinois Drum Corps Association all but irrelevant. Only the Cavaliers, the Blue Star, the Madison Scouts, the Phantom Regiment and the Troopers survived as DCI corps.
