The Flint Guardsmen were a junior drum corps based in Flint, Michigan.
History
A Flint, Michigan based Corps that was a result of the split up of the Flint Optimist Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps. They existed from around 1969 to 1972. They were sponsored by the VFW post 822, Flint Michigan.[1]
Repertoire
Some of there repertoire were "Minnie the Mermaid", "Jesus Christ Superstar","New World Symphony", "I Feel the Earth Move","Evil Ways",and "Abraham,Martin and John". The Corps was under the direction of Russ and Rudi Jones, alumni of the Flint Buick Skylarks Drum and Bugle Corps.
