Great Lakes Band Championship

The successor competition to the former Kenosha Music Round-Up. When longtime Music Round-Up producer Albion Johnson retired, he turned over the production rights to the Kenosha Band Boosters (a volunteer organization that supported the local public-school band programs), which dropped the drum and bugle corps contests in favor of band parade, concert and field competitions. In the mid-1990s the contest was discontinued, but the Kenosha CYO Band revived it on Sunday, July 6th, 2008.
