Flying Dutchmen, Quincy

The Flying Dutchmen of Quincy, Illinois marched as a parade corps in 1971 and began competition in 1972.
History
The corps was part of the Mid-America Circuit and hosted the Circuit Championships several times in the mid-1970's. Always a very small corps, it competed at DCI 3 times (1973 Whitewater [open], 1977 Denver [Division II], and 1979 Birmingham [Division III]). The Corps folded after the 1979 season.
The Dutchmen were the third and final corps to come out of Quincy, following the S.A.L. Trojans and Debutantes. The corps competed regularly at both VFW and AL state contests in Illinois and the Illinois State Fair.
