DCI World Class

Drum Corps International's World Class is comprised of the top corps that competed in the prior year's championships. Over the summer, most of these corps tour in excess of 10,000 miles.
Originally the only division competing in Drum Corps International, this division was named Open Class upon the addition of A Class in 1975. In 1992, all three divisions (including A-60, which started in 1985) were changed to a numerical system. Open Class became Division I. In September 2007, following the merger of Divisions II and III and their subsequent re-naming as "Open Class," the DCI Executive Committee officially changed Division I's name to "World Class."

- Madison Scouts, Madison, Wisconsin
- Mandarins, Sacramento, California
- Pacific Crest, Diamond Bar, California
- Phantom Regiment, Rockford, Illinois
- Pioneer, Milwaukee, Wisconsin
- Santa Clara Vanguard, Santa Clara, California
- Southwind, Lexington, Kentucky (will be inactive for the 2010 season)
