DCA Rules Congress, 2007

The 2007 DCA Rules Congress was held January 13-14, 2007 in Newark, New Jersey. The following rule changes were passed by the congress for use in Drum Corps Associates competition during the 2007 season:

1. DCA drum corps now need to have at least 35 performers (not including drum majors and honor guard) on the field in order to compete.
2. DCA drum corps will be seeded in prelims of the DCA championships based on their highest score in the month of August.
3. The maximum number of valves on a brass instrument considered legal for DCA competition was increased from 3 to 4 valves.

Several other rule changes to do with administration of DCA and DCA corps were passed as well.
