[edit] Who They Are & What They Do
Since its founding, the Citations have worked to provide a positive educational experience in the musical and marching arts disciplines for all its members. The corps has been an outlet for musical and performance expression for countless students in Burlington and it's surrounding communities for 37 years.
Corps members meet at regularly scheduled rehearsals and camps during the winter and spring months. Here, we learn the music, marching and other performance components that make up the summer field show. (a complete corps schedule can be found on this web site)
Starting in June, the corps travels from state to state competing against other corps in our division. In late July, the corps embarks on a 10 day, multi-state tour culminating in the Drum Corps International Summer Music Games Championships where we will compete with other corps from across the US and the globe in search of the coveted DCI World Championship title.
