Chops, Inc. are a Senior Drum Corps based in Mineapolis, Minnesota.

  • Chops was founded in 1991 as Chopstix Percussion. A group only preforming in parades. The Top Chops Brassline was added in 1994 as a separate parade unit. The corps didn't appear in field shows until year 1999. Finally the colorguard (Hot Chops) was added in 2001. All field shows preformed were more of a slapstick comedy rather than competitive drum corps. In 2005 however the group decided to compete seriously and attend the DCA Championships with their show entitled "Yes We're Serious and Don't Call Us Shirley." The year was a success as they placed first in Class A.
