The Central States Judging Association was a mid-West judges organization that prioritized the training of judges of drum corps competitions.

The seven people who founded The Central States Judges Association were Dick Brown, Earl Joyce, Rick Maas, Alex Haddad, Bob Flynn, Wilbur Comstock and George Munzer. Dick Brown was the first Director. The Association has been in existence for over 50 years. The Association was instrumental in developing the Impression, Analysis, Comparison System of judging. It's members presently adjudicate for the Mid-States Band Association, Florida Marching Band Coalition, Indiana Percussion Association, Winter Guard International,Drum Corps International,Mississippi Band Directors Association, Kentucky Music Educators Association, Indiana State Fair Band Day, Central Indiana Track Band Association, The National Trumpet Competition,Indiana State School Music Association, South Carolina Band Directors Association
